These fittings are crucial in ensuring smooth, dependable, and ordinary fluid and gas waft at some stage in various high-stakes programs.

Types of Carbon Steel:

There are about four major types of Carbon Steel. They are given below:

  • Low Carbon Steel:  It possesses high ductility. Mainly used in fasteners, structural beams, pipes, and automotive panels.
  • High Carbon Steel: It has great strength. It is used in springs, cutting tools, and high strength fasteners.
  • Alloy Carbon Steel:  Contains additional elements. Used high stress bolts and pressure fittings.
  • Medium Carbon Steel: High strength and less ductile. It is used mainly in gears, shafts, and axels.

Besides,  there are a few additional variants of Carbon Steel types. They are given below:

  • Plain Carbon Steel: It contains only carbon along with trace elements
  • Killed Carbon Steel: Typically this is steel type that is deoxidised and has a uniform composition
  • Rimmed and Semi-Killed Steel: It is partially deoxidised

Sizes of Carbon Steel:

It is depending on the Carbon Steel type that there are various sizes available. They are given in the table below:
